When a scrawny, freckled girl with bright red hair arrives on Prince Edward Island, Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert are taken by surprise; they’d asked the orphanage for a quiet boy to help with the farmwork at Green Gables. But how can you reject a child like an unwanted parcel, especially when she tells you her life so far has been a ‘perfect graveyard of unburied hopes’? So the beguiling chatterbox stays. Full of imagination, spark and spirit, it is not long before Anne Shirley wins their hearts.

One More Chapter!
Great books for parents to read with their children.
This is actually quite good. It is about a girl called Anne who comes from an orphanage to live with some people at Green Gables on Prince Edward Island. A few spots of trouble, happy times and, of course, her school and best friend. I definitely recommend this book by L.M. Montgomery.
This book made me feel Sad, Excited, Curious, Intrigued
Anne is from the asylum and when word comes that the Cuthberts want her to go and live with them she is ecstatic. But it turns out that the Cuthberts wanted a boy not a girl and they cannot keep Anne.
This book made me feel Happy, Curious, Scared, Intrigued, Moved
I thought this book was good as Anne has a good hobby of imagining. Anne is a very kind and helpful child but she does talk for ages and ages so people might get bored. Anne has a big personality and definitely loves to share that with others.
