I think this book was ok, The setting and description was good but I found it kinda slow-paced. Eventually there was something pretty cool when you didn't expect it (I won't spoil it for you though) other than that the book was a bit predictable. :|

Brilliant

I loved it, it was brilliant. It's a good story. I liked Carrie's brother Nick, he was always eating. He was always hungry because of rationing. I liked Hepzibah because she was nice and made good apple pies.

We loved reading this book together. There are lots of twists and turns and the relationships between the characters develop in different ways. The story is so good, it's really enjoyable for grown-ups as well as children!
