The children were alone and bored, the Cat in the Hat knocked at the door. The fish was not happy when the Cat in the Hat came in the house made lots of mess.
Bad - Thing 1 and Thing 2 came in to the house and made lots more mess
Good - The Cat in the Hat tidied all the mess up before mum came home
