My favourite part is when Mr Hoppy gives Mrs Silver a note to make her tortoise bigger and all the words on it are backwards. I like the part when Mr Hoppy buys loads of tortoises and makes them go to Mrs Silvers house and all the weeks have a tortoise that is a few ounces heavier.

I thought this book was amazing it had so much detail in it and makes you laugh and. Alfie makes you always smile because he always has a smile on his face. My favourite character was Mr. Hoppy he was always kind to every one and was considerate, Esio Trot .

It was amazing how fast Mr.Hoppy thought up the plan for Mrs.Silver to think that Alfie the tortoise was growing but he actually wasn’t. ESIO TROT really means tortoise, just put it backwards.Go on, do it!

I thought this book was good because I like turtles and turtles are in the book. Mr Hoppy lived on a balcony above Mrs Silver and she really liked her pet tortoise Alfie but Mr Hoppy wanted to marry her.So he brought loads of tortoises and kept on putting different ones up and down from the balcony. At the end Mr Hoppy took all of the tortoises back including Alfie but one of the tortoises who was a few more ounces than Alfie but can fit into Alfies little house. In the end Mr Hoppy married Mrs Silver and they lived happily ever after.

I thought that this book was really good . It is quite a short book and it is a book that you can read in 30 -50 minutes. Oh and if you are reading this then look at the title of the book ( Esio Trot). Have you realized that it means tortoise backwards?
