The kingdom of Cornucopia was once the happiest in the world.
Everything was perfect – except for the misty Marshlands to the north which, according to legend, were home to the monstrous Ickabog. Anyone sensible knew that the Ickabog was just a myth, to scare children into behaving. But the funny thing about myths is that sometimes they take on a life of their own.Could a myth unseat a beloved king? Could a myth bring a once happy country to its knees? Could a myth thrust two children into an adventure they didn’t ask for..

Great books for parents to read with their children.
This book was really really good. I loved it!!! It's about a famous myth in Cornucopia -the ickabog. Suddenly, there are rumors about the Ickabog spreading round, after a poor marshlander Thinks his dog got eaten by it. All the dads that are workers for the king have to go off into the marshlands to look for it's existence, while everyone else in Chouxville(the capital city of Cornucopia) has to stay put. It's a book where you just want to keep reading, i could hardly put it down. Also the book is filled with beautiful illustrations made by 7-12 year old kids. Fantastic!
