The Parent Agency

  • I wish I had better parents!” Barry said, a third time. And then suddenly the entire room started to shake…
Barry Bennett hates being called Barry. In fact it’s number 2 on the list of things he blames his parents for, along with 1) ‘being boring’ and 3) ‘always being tired’.
But there is a world, not far from this one, where parents don’t have children. That’s far too random for something so big and important. In this world, children are allowed to choose their parents.

For Barry Bennett, this world seems like a dream come true. Only things turn out to be not quite that simple…

I really liked it. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to choose your parents??! Well, in this book that is exactly what happens. There is a boy called Barry and it is almost his 10th Birthday, he really doesn't like his parents for all sorts of reasons and one of them is that they aren't famous and he also hates it that they didn't call him a really cool name like Luckas. You SHOULD read it.

The book was about a boy called Barry. He doesn't really like his parents because they did not give him the best and one day he said I wish I had better parents and he goes to a place where kids choose their mums and dads. I really liked the book because it was very humorous and it had a nice message that is even though your parents do not give you the best does not mean they don't love you.
