I thought that this book was very fascinating. It told the reader a bit of how it was like in the Victorians. I also really like how the storyline is based on a true story. It is about a young boy whos slowly looses his family and is trying to find a way to get out of the workhouse. The boy's name is Jim, and he actually inspired a Victorian teacher to set up a charity called The Barnabus fund(s omething along the lines of that.) I highly recommend this book to people who like a bit of a sad story but also a bit of an adventure.
