Jim Jarvis liked to run away. It was hard in the 1860s,people used young boys like him to work in hot dangerous workhouses. All he wanted was his two sisters and his mother. Just as he escaped the cruel grimey Nick took him away and his dog snipe to guard Jim from escaping.

I thought this book was sad and miserable but also exciting in a way. It made me feel like what was going to happen next.
